Hybrid Mode: As ambient temperatures begin to drop below 50 F, both the Free Cooler and Chiller will provide chilled water to the load, thereby reducing Chiller runtime and power consumption.

Free Mode: When outdoor temperatures are low enough, the Free Cooler will provide 100% of the chilled water to the load, resulting in a substantial decrease in chiller runtime and power consumption. Chiller remains on standby, Hybrid or Mechanical Modes engage as conditions permit.

Mechanical Mode: When ambient temperatures rise above 50 F, the Chiller will provide 100% of the chilled water to the load. The Free Cooling unit remains on standby, Hybrid or Free Cooling Modes engage as conditions permit.
